Domestic Violence Awareness Month · October 2026
The Circle of Giving
In memory of Sahra Bulle. In the spirit of community.
This is an intimate, personal invitation — from one person to another — to stand in the circle of those who believe that Sahra's story demands more than remembrance. It demands action, community, and lasting change. We are honouring her through the warmth of her culture, the power of her people, and the future her life is still building.

What Is the Circle of Giving?

We are asking 75 to 100 people to each contribute $250 in memory of Sahra Bulle — during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, October 2026. Together, that circle raises between $18,750 and $25,000 to directly fund the Sahra Bulle Foundation's education programs, the annual conference, and community courses that are changing how institutions respond to gender-based violence. Every dollar stays in the work. Every name in the circle carries her story forward.

How It Works

1
You receive this invitation personally. The Circle of Giving is not a mass campaign. Every person in this circle has been chosen because of who they are and what they stand for.
2
You contribute $250 before August 1, 2026. Your donation goes directly to the foundation's conference, community courses, and Centre for Learning and Teaching. A tax receipt will follow.
3
You join us at Mackenzie Hall in October for a celebration lunch that honours the circle — and honours Sahra — through food, culture, music, and community.
4
You hear the impact. At the celebration, the foundation shares exactly how your contribution is being used — in real programs, real communities, and real change.

The Celebration — A Gathering in Her Honour

This is not a gala. It is a gathering — warm, cultural, and deeply personal. We are celebrating Sahra the way her community celebrates: with food from her culture, with music, with traditional Somali dance, and with the people who loved her and love what she stood for.

Traditional Somali Lunch

A communal meal prepared in the tradition of Somali hospitality — generous, warm, and shared.

Traditional Dance

A cultural performance honouring Sahra's heritage and the community she came from.

Circle Acknowledgement

Every member of the Circle of Giving is recognized — your contribution named and honoured.

Foundation Impact Update

A report on how the Circle's contributions are being used — programs, partnerships, and progress.
